Pastor Rich arrived in 2015. He is a 1997 M.Div graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary. Prior to this, he received a degree in Sociology with a Political Science minor from William Paterson University. While in college, he worked as a summer camp counselor at Johnsonburg Presbyterian Camp which is where Jesus most directly met him and said, “Follow me.”
Pastor Rich’s ministry focuses on leading worship, adaptive church leadership development and discipleship, and building partner bridges of support across the Phillipsburg/Lehigh Valley area. He has served a term as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Safe Harbor of Easton, served as a Phillipsburg Police Chaplain, is a member of Warren County LACADA, has trained as an Addiction Recovery Coach, and co-facilitates a weekly Adult Children of Alcoholics 12 step online support group with a reach across the country and beyond.
He was raised in both Summit, NJ and Northeast Philadelphia. He is the husband of Rev. Stefanie Muntzel, the father of college graduates Anna and Rebecca, and step-dad to rising college Junior, Crosby.
Pastor Rich reboots his energy through singing/songwriting (visit www.revupmusic.com), digital photography, kayaking, weekly pickleball, reading historical fiction novels and rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.
